Falls River Square
granite, stainless steel, concrete, brick
35′ radius: 95′ long x two 2′w pools, "Dry Deck" 24′d
2003, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio
Located in the downtown historic section of the city, this project includes two fountains: an outer "Nozzle & Scupper" feature, and an inner "Dry Deck" animated, musical play fountain. A wind control prevents the nozzles from spraying the surrounding hardscape. Submersible, low voltage fixtures light the piece, each containing three MR-16 bulbs in primary red, blue, and green, which provides a generally white light with colored highlights.
The fountains are also lit by eight fiber-optic illuminators with dichroic colour wheels. Control of the pumps and lighting is by DMX interface.
