 This piece will consist of a play between natural and man-made surfaces. .Those parts left as nature carved them balance surfaces carved by the artist. These photos show Monolith 1 from four views. View 1 shows a sawn face of the yet-uncarved stone. Views 2 and 3 show the piece close to completion. View 4 shows the prism shape of the stone. A channel inside will allow water to flow from the top over the piece when completed.
